“ Don’t be fooled by the reviews it’s a lovely restaurant will good quality Italian food. They have added sharing big plate pasta to the menu which is perfect for couples or groups and it is served table side. Despite being busy the service was really good, we weren’t rushed at all and food came in a timely manner. Like all San Carlos there is pizza, pasta, meat, fish all using really good quality ingredients. The wine selection is good although no whispering angel, minuty is a good substitute though. To all the people complaining about the bill, did you not look at the price first.... Silly. ”

“ This particular San Carlo has great decor and the service is outstanding, they accommodated us very last minute which was really good. We’ve been here twice now and the food is outstanding. I recommend the tomahawk steak and the roast potatoes are really good. ”
“ We visited San Carlo AE today for lunch 6 of us, We had reserved and were invited to have a drink in the bar beforehand, would recommend this if you get chance lovely service and atmosphere, as close to the Italian Rivera you will get this side of the Pennines, We were shown to our table in the conservatory, well presented table with fresh white tablecloth, we all selected a variety of starters and mains from the menu, I had scallops 10/10 cooked to perfection and a nice size portion unlike some I’ve had in London recently where I got one !!! my wife had Pate and said it was excellent, all served in quick time and as always excellent service. Mains arrived after a short break, mostly pasta and all 6 people enjoyed there meal, for desert we had 3 Tiramisu between 6 people beautiful and light, all in all a great experience, 50 per head for food , we had a bottle of fizz and a bottle of wine and that added 200 hence removing it from the total. As the value is good for the food you get and the service is top class. If you haven’t been I would recommend you go. ”
“ My mum and I visited last night (Friday night) we hadn't booked a table but sat at the bar and had a couple of glasses of champagne. Marcelo and the girls on the desk were fantastic at getting us a table and we dined at 7.30pm, fantastic food, amazing service, gorgeous decor, money well spent, so classy and great atmosphere very classy and a lovely buzz. All staff were great, we were treated so well, the doorman walking people to and from their cars with an umbrella was a lovely touch, and Guiseppi made our experience extra special, felt like we were really taken care of. Thanks so much we will be back! ”
“ Came here spontaneously for a Wednesday afternoon lunch with my brothers. Was absolutely gorgeous ; the atmosphere in the restaurant is nice, the staff are welcoming and the food was great quality and delicious. I particularly enjoyed the carbonara, cheese garlic bread and the pistachio tart. I will definitely be returning as it was a gorgeous lunch and very much enjoyed dining here. ”
“ Had a great experience at San Carlo on the 21st March. 6pm Booking, arrived early and sat in the bar area with some cocktails until the table was ready. Bar & Wait staff couldn't have been more attentive. Checking things were ok, refilling water etc. Never got to the point of too much though, just perfect. Food was amazing and felt like they used the best ingredients possible. Price was on the higher side but you can see what you're paying before you go so shouldn't come as a surprise. Would go again in a heartbeat. ”
“ Went there for Valentines day, had a booking for quarter past...ended up waiting around 15-20 minuted for a table to be free although we had a booking for 4...felt a bit undervalued but i appreciate with such a busy day like that, i cant mark them down as this is not their fault... after we were seated a nice lad with good posture (Alex) handled customer service perfection. So calm, yet so efficient in what he did...turned everyone’s mood around. Food was quite fast to be honest , considering the restaurant was fully booked. Fantastic food and drinks.
